PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (August 26, 2026): Addison Caproni, owner and CEO of The Bow Bar, a bespoke mobile beverage hospitality company serving Greater Rhode Island, recently completed training in Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, an intensive entrepreneurship training program held at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Knight Campus in Warwick.
Mr. Caproni, a resident of Portsmouth, R.I., was chosen from over 100 applicants for Cohort 26 of the nationally recognized Goldman Sachs program. The three-month curriculum is designed to help small business owners create jobs and economic opportunities by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services. Through a combination of in-person learning sessions, remote office hours, and several online workshops, the graduates received practical training from college professors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and CCRI, as well as business experts, guest lecturers and 10KSB peers.
Rhode Island Governor Daniel J. McKee congratulated the participants on their last day of class prior to the graduation ceremony, taking time to answer business policy questions from members.
“What impressed me most about the 10KSB program was that it enabled me to think and look outside of my company instead of from an inside founder’s lens,” notes Mr. Caproni. “The modules covered specific parts of business operations, and I was able to apply the lessons to real life, right away. 10KSB is different from taking a generalized course or an MBA program where one doesn’t have a business yet, necessarily. I found it invaluable to be able to interact with my peers and gain so many beneficial perspectives.”
Mr. Caproni holds a bachelor of arts degree from Connecticut College (2009, New London, Conn.) where he earned a double major in economics and theatre.
He is a founding member of the Middletown, R.I.-based Small Business Collective, a nonprofit ecosystem of mentors, partners, educators, investors, and leaders providing supportive resources to small businesses in the community. Caproni also serves as an ambassador with the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce and is a member of that Chamber’s bi-monthly Founders’ Dinner initiative to help start-up founders and entrepreneurs gain peer support and mentorship.
