Lincoln residents are fighting back on Wilbur Park, the proposed affordable housing 28-unit development on 4.2 acres of land at 92 Wilbur Road.
A petition started by Andy Brown against the implementation of Wilbur Park – Petition · STOP Wilbur Park! – Lincoln, United States · Change.org – has surpassed 600 verified signatures. The petition description describes that Wilbur Park “will introduce several issues, including increase noise, a drain on resources, increased traffic, and safety issues for the existing residents of Wilbur Road.”
The petition is accompanied by a fundraiser – Fundraiser by Andy Brown : STOP Wilbur Park!! – that has surpassed over $3,000 in contributions. Per the GoFundMe, the money raised “will help with organizing, printing, and circulation, hiring of experts, paying for services and any other costs incurred during this fight.”
Senator Thomas J Paolino, representing District 17, has submitted a letter to the Lincoln Planning Board and Zoning Board of Review pleading for Wilbur Park to not be implemented.
