Upper Deck Baseball & Softball Academy introduced its brand new facility with an open house on October 29th.
The 24,000 square foot facility presents 15 full batting cages and open zones for team practices. It also includes a training lesson area, lounge, and strength & conditioning area.
The training lesson area is headline high data-tracking systems — a HitTrax, and two Rapsodo’s.
The HitTrax is designed to measure hitters exit velocities, distances, and launch angles. Meanwhile, the Rapsodo’s track pitching velocity and spin rates.

The member hours are 3-9:30 PM Monday through Friday, and 8 AM-9:30 PM on weekends.
Jeff Lyons, General Manager of Upper Deck, tells the 411 that the hours are the biggest change with the new facility.
“Families will now have the oppurnity to practice post-dinner hours”.
Upper Deck, home to 21 total baseball and softball Stone Crab teams, is excited for this new chapter at 1 John C Dean Memorial Boulevard in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
